Giving back to the community is a key priority for Newcastle Coal, so when the Hunter Women's Centre contacted us for help, the team jumped into action.

The Centre, which provides a range of outreach and counselling services to marginalised and disadvantage women in the Hunter, was after a few computers. Newcastle Coal was more than happy to help, donating computer equipment and specialist IT guru support (thanks Anthony, Nathan and Alex!)  to set up and configure the computers.

The computers were no longer needed at Newcastle Coal, and will help the Hunter Women's Centre provide additional services enabling them to offer support with online services, computer skills and other learning and development opportunities to their members. It will also help their members strengthen their social networks and stay in touch with friends and family.
