FROM THE GM
The last few months have been full of activity as we reach our eighteenth month of operation.
311 ships have been loaded with almost 20 million tonnes of coal.
The second stage of construction is progressing extremely well with the third stacker reclaimer delivered in September and erected on site, with the second shiploader recently delivered.
Financial arrangements for the final stage of the terminal has been finalised which means we are well on track for completion in 2013. Stage 2F will enable export capacity to increase to 66 million tonnes per year.
The arrival of the Cape class bulk vessel the Goodwill on 22 October marked the completion of the four year dredging program undertaken by NCIG to enable these larger ships to be loaded from K8 and K9.
